Research from the Department of Nutrition in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht University in The Netherlands suggests that cats taking Omega 3 fatty acids will live longer than cats taking Omega 6 fatty acids. In addition, cats taking Omega 3 fatty acids that developed renal failure did so at a later age than cats consuming Omega 6 fatty acids.
