The TCM formula Four Marvels or Si Miao San is so effective that it is the most commonly prescribed small animal formula.  Who shouldn’t use Four Marvels?

Four Marvels is for pets with arthritis, pain and inflammation, but it is not the best formula for pets with a high temperature. Pets with a high temperature should use Long Dan Xie Gan Tang or a Hoxsey Formula. For pets with inflammation and a normal temperature, Four Marvels is safe given long term.

Safe source for Four Marvels or Si Miao San Herbs

Although the ancient Chinese had wisdom to formulate excellent medicines, the modern Chinese do not provide these medicines in a guaranteed safe form. I do not recommend using any TCM formula that has not been through good manufacturing process (GMP) in the US or Canada. Please ask me for herbs that are safe for your pet.
