Doctors treating actress Pratyusha Banerjee's boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh on Monday said that there is an improvement in the condition of Singh and have opined that Singh might get discharged in couple of days.

Meanwhile, Singh's defence lawyers had applied for his anticipatory bail in the High Court and the court would be hearing his plea on Tuesday.
While speaking to media, consulting doctor of Singh Dr Santosh Goel said, "Rahul's health condition is improving and if the court orders or if the police wants then he can be shifted to a government hospital. He is still under psychiatric treatment and most probably he will be discharged in two days."
"The police is still investigating the matter and all the details, pertaining to case, will be analysed properly and action will be taken after a proper medical examination of the accused. Also, more evidences would be collected against the accused to bolster our case" said deputy commissioner of police, Dhananjay Kulkarni.
On April 01, Banerjee had allegedly committed suicide by hanging at her Goregaon residence. Around 4pm, Singh had entered the house and then rushed her to a hospital in Andheri, police said.
Following Pratyusha's death, on April 03, Singh had got admitted in a private hospital in Kandivli after having complained of chest pain and breathlessness.
Pratyusha's mother Shoma Banerjee, on April 12, had visited Bangur Nagar police station and got a First Information Report (FIR) lodged against Singh. The police had registered a case under sections 306 (abetment to suicide), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code.
On April 07, Singh's anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Dindoshi sessions court after which Singh's lawyers had approached High Court to seek anticipatory bail.
