Trusting the dog food company

The FDA released findings that show Diamond Pet Foods did not test corn appropriately and a toxin in the corn caused the death of dogs that ate Diamond dog food. Corn with more than 20 parts per billion (ppb) of aflatoxin is unsafe. According to the FDA, Diamond corn samples had amounts almost twenty times higher: 376 ppb.

Aflatoxin, considered one of the most potent toxins known, causes a range of symptoms from death to liver cancer. Dogs that didn’t die outright are at increased risk for developing cancer in their lives.

It is essential to buy pet food from a company you trust.
