my 4 month old kitten she does not like our dog?
we have a 1.5 yr old dog and our new kitten does not like dogs so she starts to bite me and everyone that comes in her way. our dog is use to cats and loves them but the kitten has no reason to not like dogs so we were told by spca where we got her from. at first she was sweet as pie then she had a problem with the kids, after a while she got use to 'em but the dog she gets into growling and biting and scratching that i don't know what to do.after a while she goes back to being a sweet cat again can any one help us thanks.

Just give it time, she will get used to the dog. Even if they don't become buddies, she should at least learn to tolerate him/her. At 4 months, cats are still pretty scared of a lot of things. She got used to the kids, odds are, she'll get used to the dog.
She's biting people because of redirected aggression. She's upset about the dog and is taking it out on anything that gets near her. So give her some space when the dog is around. And it would probably be best to separate them at night..just to ensure the safety of both of them.
But please don't declaw your cat. The idiot who said they don't need their claws.well, is an idiot. Cats do need their claws for many things (defense, marking their scent, toning their muscles..it's also therapeutic for them to scratch). And declawing is very cruel! They amputate a bone in the cat's foot..it would be the equivalent of someone cutting the tip of your finger off at the first knuckle. Behavioral problems can arise after declawing, as well (the two big ones being litter box avoidance and biting). Read this site for more info;

And I highly recommend Cats for Dummies 2nd Edition. There are tips in there for introducing cats to other animals, AND a whole section on the declawing issue.
Good luck!
I'm not sure, but I think she will get used to the dog because she is only 4 months old. At 1.5 years old, the dog is still pretty much a pup and will be OK. Just try to make sure she doesn't scratch the dogs eyes!! Good luck to all of you!
Maybe you should declaw her, if she is an inside cat and the dog hasn;t harmed her, there is no reason to have the claws.
not many cats or kittens willin like dogs around them . they might think the dogs will hurt them or bite them either both can be harm .
had your dog ever get along with any cats before ?
